Methodology
Values
The methodology of the Ferrer Tennis Academy La Nucia is based on the values that were crucial to David Ferrer’s success throughout his career, which are now passed on to the players at the academy.
These values include:
- Respect: Promoting courtesy and mutual recognition among players, coaches, and opponents, creating an ethical and professional environment.
- Attitude: Encouraging a positive, resilient, and persevering mindset, which is key to overcoming obstacles and challenges both on and off the court, much like Ferrer demonstrated throughout his career.
- Effort: Emphasizing the importance of consistent dedication in training and competition. Ferrer was a prime example of how hard work can propel an athlete to the highest levels.
From Inspiration to Victory:
To these values is added the contribution of Andrew Richardson, who was Emma Raducanu’s coach during her historic victory at the 2021 US Open.
Richardson brings an integrated approach that combines technical development with mental preparation.
His experience as a former professional player allows him to design training programs that not only enhance the players’ technical skills but also strengthen their mindset, which is essential for competing at the highest level.
Through these approaches, the academy’s methodology ensures that players not only improve their technical abilities but also develop a winning mentality, inspired by the values of David Ferrer and the integrated approach of Andrew Richardson.
